Pre-booked taxis to and from Aqueduct Marina for boaters, crews and visitors. Book online, call or WhatsApp us 24/7.
Aqueduct Marina sits on the Shropshire Union Canal's Middlewich Branch at Church Minshull, in quiet countryside between Nantwich, Middlewich and Winsford. It's a lovely spot to moor or start a canal holiday, but it's not on a bus or rail route, so getting there with bags and supplies is much easier by taxi.
Cheshiree Taxis runs pre-booked pickups and drop-offs at the marina for boat owners, hire customers, crews and visitors, with every fare quoted upfront.
Most boaters arrive or leave by train or plane. We'll meet you at the station or airport and take you, your crew and your luggage straight to the moorings – or back again at the end of your trip:
For flights we track your arrival time, so your driver is waiting even if you land early or late.
Swapping crew partway through a trip? We'll collect the new arrivals from the station and take the outgoing crew home or to their train.
Need to stock up before setting off? We'll take you to the shops in Nantwich, Winsford or Middlewich and back to the boat.
Moored elsewhere on the Middlewich Branch or the Shropshire Union? Tell us the nearest bridge or road access and we'll meet you there.
Exploring Cheshire while you're moored up? Book a taxi for a meal, a visit or a night out and leave the boat safely at the marina.
Aqueduct Marina takes its name from the nearby aqueduct that carries the Middlewich Branch over the River Weaver valley. It's a working marina with moorings, boat sales and hire, plus facilities for visitors – but because it sits in open countryside off the B5074, there's no public transport to the gate.
Our drivers know the marina entrance and the best place to stop for loading, so you're not dragging bags further than you need to. If you're arriving by train, the easiest plan is to book a taxi from Crewe or Winsford station straight to the marina, timed to your train. If you're leaving after a cruise, book the return in advance so the car is waiting when you've handed the boat back.
